The new Škoda Kodiaq is here!
Škoda is beginning the latest chapter in its success story: the second generation of its award-winning SUV. The Kodiaq, a symbol of versatility and innovation, has already won the hearts of more than eight hundred thousand customers in sixty markets around the world and picked up numerous prestigious awards.

Design: more room for all
The new generation of the Škoda Kodiaq boasts more muscular and striking looks than its predecessor. It has grown by 6 centimetres in length, offering more space for passengers and luggage. The overall length is 4,758 millimetres, while the boot volume has also increased: up to 910 litres in the five-seater variant. The improved aerodynamics are demonstrated by a cd drag coefficient of just 0.282.
The SUV’s design is accentuated by a re-shaped bonnet with the redesigned Škoda logo and a distinctive hexagonal grille. One key feature is the optional second-generation full LED Matrix headlights, which cast a brighter and clearer light and whose 36 individual light segments create the brand’s characteristic “four-eyed” front end.
Interior: gear selector on the steering column
The centrepiece of the interior is a free-standing 13-inch infotainment screen complemented by a 10-inch virtual cockpit and optional head-up display. Below the infotainment screen are the new multi-function controls (Smart Dials) – three multi-function rotary and press buttons with integrated digital displays. These dials simplify access to various functions and combine haptic feedback with digital information.
The selector for the automatic-only transmission has been moved to the steering column, freeing up additional space on the centre console. Comfort still comes first: the optional Top ergonomic Seats provide a massage function with ten inflatable and programmable cushions.
The new Škoda Kodiaq five-seater variant offers a boot capacity of 910 litres.
Engines: the first time Kodiaq plug-in hybrid
For the first time, the popular SUV will also be available as a Kodiaq iV with plug-in hybrid powertrain. With a combined output of 204 hp, it promises an all-electric range of over 100 kilometres on the WLTP cycle. For the first time, the Kodiaq also sees mild-hybrid technology: that’s the 150bhp 1.5 TSI model. The engines’ line-up is completed by a 2.0 TSI petrol engine and two 2.0 TDI diesels, delivering 150 and 193 hp respectively. All units are coupled to a DSG automatic transmission and the top petrol and diesel variants have all-wheel drive as standard.
For the first time, the Kodiaq will come in an iV version with a plug-in hybrid.
In the Kodiaq, Škoda is introducing the DCC Plus dynamic chassis control system to enhance the driving experience. The system features two separate valves controlling the rebound and compression phases of the suspension, providing faster and more variable damping. This improvement translates into quicker response, improved driving dynamics and superior comfort while maintaining the same ground clearance as the standard version.
Safety: an army of assistants at the ready
In its second generation, the Škoda Kodiaq offers the driver a range of advanced driver assistance systems that enhance safety and comfort. Turn Assist helps prevent collisions at junctions and remote parking is possible via an app. With the saved parking manoeuvre function, the vehicle memorises up to five parking manoeuvres and then performs them automatically or is guided through the app.

An upgrade to the blind spot monitoring function (Side Assist) extends its detection range for tracked vehicles from seventy to ninety metres, increasing safety, especially on motorways. The redesigned Traffic Jam Assist provides a clearer view of surrounding vehicles in the virtual cockpit and is combined with Adaptive Lane Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control. This works in conjunction with the navigation system to anticipate turns and junctions.
As regards passive safety, the second-generation Kodiaq offers up to nine airbags, including optional side airbags for rear seat passengers.
Connectivity: wireless update
The new SUV is always online and offers an array of mobile services and infotainment apps. There are three displays in the car: a 10-inch virtual cockpit, a centre infotainment screen of up to 13 inches and now also a head-up display. The car is equipped with four USB-C ports with 45 watts of power for fast charging of mobile devices. One new feature is enhanced wireless charging, which lets two smartphones be charged inductively simultaneously with 15 watts of power.
Variable centre console
The infotainment system in the all-new Kodiaq features a standard 10-inch multi-touch display, DAB+ radio, gesture control and voice commands. Optional navigation adds a 13-inch screen, with its instructions now shown on the head-up display. Eight standard speakers take care of sound quality, with fourteen Canton audio system speakers as an optional alternative.
Being constantly online, the SUV can use OTA (over-the-air) software updates and advanced route planning. Škoda Connect online services, features specific to the Kodiaq iV plug-in hybrid and a range of infotainment applications deliver comfort and convenience enhancements for the driver and all the car’s occupants. On top of that, additional functions for navigation, adaptive cruise control, high beam control or adding different variations of ambient lighting can be seamlessly integrated online upon request.
