The North Coast 500

The North Coast 500 is a classic Scottish road trip around the northern coastline of Scotland. The 516-mile route offers breathtaking scenery, charming villages, and a taste of the Scottish Highlands.

The Route

Most people recommend 5-7 days to see it all, but you could just focus solely on the drive and do it all quicker.

The North Coast 500 passes through various landscapes, starting and ending in Inverness. It goes through places such as Loch Lomond, The Trossachs National Park, The Applecross Pass, and Gairloch. The route also includes Ullapool, Durness and John o' Groats, the most northerly point of mainland Britain. It continues through Caithness, Wick, and Dunrobin Castle.
