The new Škoda Epiq has a number of advantages that makes it a great electric car for a wide audience. Its affordability—without compromising on technology—plays an important role, but its qualities don’t end there.

The Epiq marks a new chapter in the Mladá Boleslav-based automaker’s journey into electric mobility. As Škoda Auto CEO Klaus Zellmer said at its premiere, this is a car that brings electric mobility to a wider range of customers; it’s practical, easy to operate, and fun to drive. But those are just a few of the reasons to want this new electric model. Here are some more:

It’s compact, yet spacious

The Epiq is a fantastic combination of two worlds. With a length of 4,171 mm, a width of 1,798 mm, and a height of 1,581 mm, it’s a nimble vehicle that’s perfectly suited even for narrow city streets. At the sametime, it provides passengers with plenty of space in both the cabin and the trunk. The trunk has a capacity of 475 liters; there’s an additional 25 liters of storage under the front hood; and the cabin itself features over28 liters of storage compartments and pockets for small items.

It has excellent range and charging capabilities

Given its size, the Epiq isn’t a typical car for long trips, but it can still handle them comfortably. The version with a 55 kWh battery (52 kWh usable) has a range of over 440 kilometers on a single charge and can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. Even the version with the base 38.5 kWh battery (37 kWh usable) can travel 310 kilometers in combined mode.

It handles superbly

The MEB+ platform with front-wheel drive gives the Epiq SUV intuitive handling, agility (a turning circle of just 10.15 meters), and confident driving dynamics. Thanks to its electric powertrain, it’s also pleasantly nimble: the Epiq 35 variant, with an 85-kW electric motor, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11 seconds; the Epiq 40, with 99 kW, does it in 9.8 seconds; and the top-of-the-line Epiq 55, offering 155 kW, does it in 7.1 seconds.

It has a fresh, distinctive style

The Epiq is the first Škoda model to incorporate all the elements of the Modern Solid design language. Its stylish appearance is enhanced by features such as the Tech-Deck Face grille and T-shaped headlights (including the Matrix-LED variant). The color palette is also eye-catching, offering not only traditional shades but also bold ones like Platinum Metallic white and Jasper Metallic red, as well as playful shades such as Marble gray and Timiano green.

It’s just Simply Clever

Like every Škoda car, the Epiq also features a host of smart and practical features that make it a pleasure to drive. The wide range of driver-assistance and safety systems includes the optional Travel Assist 3.0, which can even respond to traffic lights and bring the car to a complete stop if necessary. The interior features pleasant and advanced materials such as Techtona and Suedia. Technical highlights include a 13-inch infotainment screen with physical controls, as well as the ability to power electrical devices and connect the car to your home network (V2L and V2H standards). Of course, the Epiq also features plenty of Simply Clever elements, such as an umbrella in the front doors, an ice scraper, and details like protective films under the door handles to prevent fingernails from scratching the paint.
