What does a
Service Technician do?
Working as a Service Technician here at Henrys Skoda is not about grease, overalls and back-street garages. The Service Technicians of today work for ŠKODA retailers, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, in pristine environments.
As a Service Technician you would be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, and basic repairs as well as identifying and reporting faults on vehicles. At a more advanced level you’ll learn more about complex faults and repair them using sophisticated diagnostic equipment. At a higher level, you could be dealing with the most complex automotive systems as well as leading the workshop and the teams within it. You could also choose to specialise in certain areas. Some examples include; hybrid/electric vehicles, infotainment systems or advanced diagnostics.

Service Technician Apprentice
To be a ŠKODA Service Technician apprentice, you will need the right qualifications to start you on your learner journey. For Škoda this is a minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) English, Maths and Science at grade 9 - 4 (A - C).
You’ll also need to demonstrate your passion and enthusiasm for the job; show that you are a good listener and be interested in technology as a tool to fix problems. An ideal candidate will also be service orientated, focused on quality and a real team player.
